Meeting Minutes

Friday, April 18, 2008

The meeting was called to order @ 7:15pm on the beachfront of Frank Summers & Rene’ Kraus at 7376 Ninth St SE.  There were 21 people in attendance representing 14 households.

Jim M. gave the treasurers report.

$470.52 in savings.

 After paying out $750.00 for the weed treatment permit and $92.36 to Theresa Whitstine for last years picnic excpences and deposits totaling $2082.96 there is a balance of $1725.58 in checking. This gives us a combined balance of $2196.10.

 Paul J. reported that we have 33 households signed up for weed treatment so far.  The ideal water temp. for weed treatment is 56 deg. Paul asked if anyone has an accurate temp. gauge on their boat. It was mentioned that Sandy Frump may have. He also has more fertilizer and yard services forms available.

 Angela M. reminded us that first time users of Community lawn care receive a 35% kickback, and repeat customers receive a 5% kickback.

 Polly J. asked if there is a reduced membership fee for off lakers to join the association.  After much discussion Paul J. made a motion for the fee to be $25.00. Bill T. 2^nd.

 Dave T. mentioned the email that had been sent out by Jane Hoffman regarding a Breast Cancer fundraiser being held at Wild Marsh on April 26^th.

Dave T. asked everyone to update their information for the lake directory.

 Mike R. asked if a decision had been made regarding the website domain. Craig K. is investigating this and wasn’t in attendance. 

The June meeting will be hosted by Paul and Polly Johnson in the center of the lake.  In the event of inclement weather they will host it at their home located at 656 Halsey Ave. SE. 763-477-5406 if you need directions.

 A special Thank You!! to Frank and Renee for hosting a FANTASTIC ice out party after the meeting.  Food n’ fun was had by all......somehow we never ran out of ice?????
